Dr. Peter Alam is a Canadian and American-trained board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in aesthetic, reconstructive, and microsurgical surgery. Known for his meticulous surgical technique, refined aesthetic judgment, and patient-centered philosophy, Dr. Alam is dedicated to delivering natural, elegant, and timeless results tailored to each individual patient.
Dr. Alam completed his medical degree and Plastic Surgery residency training at McGill University, one of Canada’s leading medical institutions. He also holds a Master’s degree in Surgical Education, reflecting his strong commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and the advancement of surgical training.
To further refine his expertise, Dr. Alam pursued advanced fellowship training in microvascular and reconstructive surgery at the internationally renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center in the United States, where he trained alongside world leaders in microsurgery, breast reconstruction, head and neck reconstruction, and complex reconstructive procedures.
Certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Plastic Surgery, Dr. Alam combines extensive reconstructive expertise with a sophisticated understanding of aesthetics, anatomy, and tissue healing. His advanced microsurgical background provides an exceptional level of precision and attention to detail that naturally translates into his aesthetic surgical practice.
Based in Montreal, Dr. Alam currently serves as Assistant Chief of Plastic Surgery at Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal, where he is actively involved in patient care, research, and surgical education. He also contributes to the mentorship and training of future plastic surgeons and fellows.
